Main Interface

In terms of UI, the major change is the addition of a top menu with the ability to open files (import data), save files (export data), easy access to components and to a user manual.

Not much has changed. What were the document and lesson metadata data have been grouped into one. All taxonomy info have been changed into one big taxonomy tree for easier updates.

Blocks

The first screen is a summary, with basic CMS features to move activities into one block higher or lower

Based on the lessons I got to see, only these two informations are required. Let me know if more specifications at block level are required.

Activities

Again, the first screen is a summary. Here the basic CMS features allow to change the ordering of the activities.

Very minor changes compared to prior version. Added definition of the block number, number of items, expected duration of the activity.

... and added a wizard button which provides an easy way to fill each activity with default content. Most are expected to make the definition of each activity easier than what content editor are used to. If you take the dropdown/gapfill wizard for instance, you paste a text in the box then select with the mouse the text parts that should form dropdowns (automatic finding of start and end of the word, you don't even need to be precise with your mouse), then the template is automatically generated for you based on your selection.

User Manual

The User Manual reproduces the content of what was the guidelines file... but gives access to the content in small chunks as required rather than as a big manual.

Ah, yes, guess what, on the main lesson editor page (top image, blue border), clicking on can do brings up a page that provides information on these.
